Works: In Progress

My name is Walter Portz. I am a Charlotte-based artist, and I wanted to share some exciting news with all of you. One of my pieces, "TH?NK", has recently been included in the collection of Western Technology Investments CEO, David Wanek.

"TH?NK" is a nine-foot by ten-foot piece made up of wheat pasted posters, larger prints, and spray paint. The piece is about the negative impacts of the mind control that phones have over our modern life and how a "puppet master" is controlling the lives of everyone. The name "Th?nk" is a reference to George Orwell's dystopian novels, and it was created over a one year period before its installation in David's San Francisco loft.

I'm extremely honored to have my work included in such a prestigious collection, and I'm grateful to David for his support of my art. It's always a thrill to see my pieces in new homes and to know that they are being appreciated by others.
