The Goat: Sneaker Flavors

When I was approached about throwing up a mural in the new sneaker shop called Sneaker Flavors in Sioux Falls, SD I was initially unsure of what direction it was going to take. I was given some initial artistic freedom to conceptualize what we might do. After the owner shared with me some old advertisements, a plan started to come in to focus. Plaster the entire wall with Wheat paste posters of old sneaker ads as a base. Then over the top hand paint a mural of Micheal Jordan on one side and a mural of Kobe Bryant on the other. Facing off across the store. It was a busy several days and I had help form my friends Alix Johnson and Ryan Gaede to get the project buttoned up. Mark and Da from the shop always tell me stories about the people coming in to their store to take photos with the GOAT, It has become an attraction and I look forward to doing more projects like it in the future!
