In 2016 after the loss of my father, and the subsequent outpouring from the kids he had helped, I decided I needed to do more. I established the Sioux Falls Skatepark Association which became Let’s Skate as an organization dedicated to building community through skateboarding. We raised $2.5 million dollars on a goal of $500,000. We continued to build on that with relationships with people on the reservations of SD, The Smithsonian Institute’s Lemelson Center, Team USA Skateboarding, The Levitt Foundation, Boards for Bros and more.
