“Iterations” started with a series called “Defile Your Icons”. Images from iconic photographers and street art collaged together, printed on a xerox and then spray painted over. During one session I began to become interested in the aesthetics created in small sections of the work where the paint and xerox would interplay. I then began photographing those details and painting layers on the masking sheets. combining those images together in layers, printing then more spray paint etc. They started to become a family tree, where you could see the genetic through line as it manifested into new”Iterations”.
